I am writing this letter to recommend Steve Schattner and Top Tier Lacrosse. I have known Steve for 3 years. He is my son’s club lacrosse coach. Steve started and runs the Top Tier Lacrosse  program. Steve would be an asset to your community merger for several reasons his organizational skills, leadership ability and his ability to relate and teach young men lacrosse and life lessons.

Steve is an excellent communicator. Emails, phone calls and conversations are efficient and timely. For example during our summer and fall travel seasons, all arrangements for hotels, transportation, team dinners and schedules for multiple age groups were handled by him or delegated to individuals who got the job done. On the field, Steve’s practices are run smoothly and efficiently. His knowledge of lacrosse is quite remarkable. He draws from his experience as a collegiate player at the highest level of lacrosse at UNC. Steve has knack for translating complex skills in a way that the young lacrosse player can understand and perform on the field.

As a leader, Steve’s skills are evident both on the field and off. He owns and operates a successful business. Steve developed the Top Tier Lacrosse Program into a national recognized program by finishing second in the nation at the Dicks Tournament of Champions.

Steve is a role model for his players. He is a family man. Steve instills strong moral guidance and encourages the boys to make good decisions on and off the field. He cares about winning, but he also cares about the boys and their needs. My son utilizes the skills he has learned from Steve by mentoring his own high school teammates and younger lacrosse players.

My children have been involved with many club sports. Our experience with Steve Schattner and the Top Tier Program has been excellent. Our son has developed into a mature lacrosse player who hopes to play at the collegiate level. Steve has the business skills, leadership ability, lacrosse expertise, and strong values to bring the club to its full potential.

Sincerely,

Scott Gradert
